While there's not necessarily one "superior" location, there are features at each beach and destination that will provide you with a unique feel for your photos.
Below are a list of a few of my most recommended spots for portrait sessions, but I am very happy to work with you to find a location that best suits what you're looking for.
My session fee includes travel to Siesta Key, Nokomis, Lido Beach, and Sarasota parks. Other locations that incur a travel fee are listed below.
Siesta Key
A crowd favorite due to the stunningly pristine soft white sand beaches and many access points. Siesta key is one of the most popular tourist destinations in our area, so choosing an access point that is less crowded than others is vital. One spot in particular offers "washed up" catamarans and a beautiful tree-lined walk to the beach.
Lido Beach
Located near St Armands and just over the bridge from downtown Sarasota is a popular spot: Lido Beach. With it's pretty white sand and abundant foliage, Lido is a popular choice amongst visitors and locals alike. This beach is a great option for those seeking a two-location session, as it is close in proximity to Bird Key, downtown, and the marina.
Nokomis/Venice
Just south of Sarasota are the less crowded beaches of Venice and Nokomis that offer gulf coast beach vibes with a twist. one favorite spot of mine hosts a jetty and some fabulous rustic greenscape, and the other is a rustic and charming dark sand beach where you can find shark teeth buried at every turn. both locations offer great backdrops for your photos
Sarasota and surrounding parks
If beaches aren't your vibe, Sarasota area is home to some of the most beautiful, unique, and tropical parks in the state. There are many amazing spots with lush tree areas, towering oaks, lakes, and beautiful fields that can host beautiful and dreamy sessions. - $ Variable
Longboat Key
Discover a lesser-known beach with endless charm and rugged character that balances beautifully with a massive white sand beach. The access point at Longboat where I hold my sessions features unique driftwood and expansive rock jetties that add texture, drama, and depth to your photos. *This location is not recommended for those with trouble walking distances in the sand.

Coquina Beach
Coquina Beach is an absolutely charming and beautiful location for those looking for a bit of variety in their session. With a battered old wooden jetty, plentiful trees and greenery, high dunes, and a bridge canopy; there's plenty here for a full beach session.

Anna Maria Island
Escape to the location many choose to spend their extended vacations year after year. Anna Maria offers much with it's white sand pristine beaches and quaint town. At it's best access point, a beach with spectacular sunset lighting with a small rock jetty and beautiful tropical walk through bridge. This beach is great for those seeking a two-location session, as the strip of Anna Maria gives small beach town vibes with bright and colorful buildings amidst ice cream shops and boutiques.

St Petersberg
Home to iconic hotels, downtown, and a lively and beautiful pier is none other than St Petersburg. If you're visiting here and are hoping for photos on the beach, there are wonderful locations up and down the coast. Some of these beaches are home to beautiful rock jetties, tropical foliage, and abundant shelling opportunities amongst beautiful sunsets and sand. - $75 travel fee
